YOUTH - LTC 2020
So one day, back when I was about 6 years old or so, I went to a friends, aunt's house to go swimming. Since I was young I couldn't swim very well at that point in time. I didn't have very much common sense so I decided to jump in without anyone watching. As soon as I hit the water, I started to sink. I went all the way down. I felt my feet hit the ground and my lungs felt like they were going to burst out of my chest. I tried to yell for help but I only lost more air. When all seemed lost, my friends mom came nearby and I tugged at her shirt and she pulled me up out of the water. I lay by the pool gasping for air. At that time I didn't think about it that much, but now when I look back on it I knew that God had my back. He has had my back through thick and thin, and he will always be there for both you and I no matter what.
Psalm 40: 1-2
I was patient while I waited for the Lord. He turned to me and heard my cry for help. I was sliding down into the pit of death, and he pulled me out. He brought me up out of the mud and dirt. He set my feet on a rock. He gave me a firm place to stand on.
